How the tirfor winch（named manual wire rope winch,manual cable winch,wire rope pulling hoist and wire rope puller）works？

The tirfor winch is a clamp body that uses manual pulling of the handle and levering principle to obtain linear traction that matches the load. It alternately acts on the core load and operates with supporting load.

Any length of tirfor winch is guided through two pairs of straight grippers. When the drive rod moves back and forth, the wire rope moves smoothly forward or backward (according to selection) without slipping. The clever lever mechanism means that one pair of grippers opens and pulls in more wires, while the other pair remains closed. This kind of opening and closing is repeated alternately. There are no wheels or gears in the tirfor winch. Two jaw blocks alternately drive the wire rope through the tirfor winch, causing the additional load to move in the selected direction, just like pulling the rope with two hands. The jaws are self tightening, and the greater the load, the stronger the grip, thereby immediately applying progressive and safe tension to the wire rope. The detachment mechanism allows the wire rope to be inserted and removed between the jaws.

Pull the forward (backward) handle towards the back of the machine first, and then push the loose handle towards the front of the machine by hand. The loose handle can be clamped into the upper step of the casing. At this time, the upper and lower clamps in the front and rear clamp bodies will open and can be threaded (pulled) through. Then, press the loose handle forward and down with your hand to clamp the steel wire rope (or reset) and put it into operation. (see the below of page).
